The show 'Spongebob' Causes Brain Damage In Children

Watching just a bit of the hit kids show 'Spongebob' can cause headaches to some people but psychologists show that its not only very annoying but can also cause brain damage in preschoolers and even kids slightly older. Angeline Lillard and Jennifer Peterson from Virginia's department of psychology wanted to test if it had immediate influence on kid's skills including attention, memory, problem solving and delay of gratification. They made a group of 60 4 year olds to three groups. One that watched nine minutes of fast paced show about an "entertaining sponge" one that watched a slower paced PBS show and another that was asked to draw. Afterwards they were asked to take four tests to check the effect. The ones who watched spongebob did significantly worse.
